We're at the end of 2008. Info for the 09' Season close As a whole 2008 was a rough year with a rather pitiful growing season that supported weeds more so than garden plants. The year for plants can be best summed up by short, cold, and weedy. Due to Time constrains I repeatedly had issues with weeding. Next year this will be remedied with lots of landscaping fabric. The most successful plants of the season were easily peas, blueberries, strawberries, onions and spuds. |
On the paperwork for this year's harvest attempt:
|
Snap Peas
|
3-6 different kinds of tomatoes Zucchini (aka weeds)
|
Onions
Starting Asparagus Flowers:

| Man down. This is the
new semi permanent bed. It contains all the plants I really don't want to
dig up every year. Strawberries were moved. Horseradish and rhubarb planted
and asparagus started. |
Blueberries really are doing well. I have about 10 plants that are just covered in clusters. |

| Asian pears. I didn't expect to get anything this year but surprise... they're doing quite well. | The first squash blossom of the season. I planted zucs late so I think that's why the Paty pan beat it to the punch. |

| I have a spot next to my house where we usually plant tomatoes and peppers. I thought the area was getting a little exhausted so I planted sunflowers this year. | The great wall of spuds. I'm shocked how well the $4 bag from walmart is doing. |
